Thursday Night Football
Chicago @ Green Bay (-7) (O/U 44) – Green Bay’s offensive line struggled big time in the first half last week against the Bengals. The offense got going in the second half and they should be able to continue the momentum into TNF. Chicago is coming off a big time home win and is in for a let down. Green Bay 30-17.
Stay tuned for the rest tonight…
New Orleans (-3) @ Miami (O/U 50.5) – While Miami has the better defense, they looked so out of sync last Sunday in New York and now have to travel again, a third straight week to start their season. I don’t see them getting it going this week. New Orleans 24-17.
Carolina @ New England (-9) (O/U 49) – Carolina’s offense is so anemic that they couldn’t even score points on the Saints. Their 2-1 record is deceiving, and they won’t turn it around on Tom Brady and the Pats. New England 27-13.
Los Angeles Rams @ Dallas (-6.5) (O/U 48) – It looked as if the Cowboys fixed some issues in the 2nd half last week. The Rams are coming off a long week playing on TNF, but they gave up 39 to the 49ers. Dallas 27-19.
Detroit @ Minnesota (-1.5) (O/U 42.5) – Can Case Keenum do it for the second straight week? He won’t have the same success that he did a week ago, but Minnesota’s defense will have no problem making Detroit one dimensional. Minnesota 21-20.
Tennessee (-1.5) @ Houston (O/U 43.5) – In what could be a big game for the AFC South race, the Texans are coming off a heart-breaking loss in New England. Look for the Titans to take advantage of the oncoming letdown. Tennessee 23-16.
Jacksonville (-3) @ New York Jets (O/U 38) – A really tough travel schedule for the Jaguars makes this game than it should be. The Jets should have some confidence after last weeks win over Miami. It won’t matter, the Jags defense is legit. Jacksonville 24-10.
Cincinnati (-3) @ Cleveland (O/U 41.5) – The Battle of Ohio is the Battle of Winless as both teams come in 0-3. The Browns have had a big problem stopping the run against Cincy lately so look for Joe Mixon to have a breakout game. Cincinnati 27-10.
Pittsburgh (-3) @ Baltimore (O/U 42) – How will the Steelers respond after a tumultuous week stemming from a lack of unity around the protests? In what should be a low-scoring game, the Steelers find a way. Pittsburgh 17-16.
Buffalo @ Atlanta (-8) (O/U 48.5) – The Bills played what is going to be their best game of the year. Now, on the road, this week is made for a huge letdown. Matt Ryan has a party. Atlanta 30-20.
New York Giants @ Tampa Bay (-3) (O/U 44.5) – Toughest game of the week, no bones about it. I don’t see New York starting 0-4, but there is no way Tampa plays as bad as they did last week. But the Giants will be desperate on the road. New York 24-21.
Sunday Afternoon Games
Philadelphia @ Los Angeles Chargers (-1.5) (O/U 47.5) – Much like the Giants, the desperation of a winless first quarter of the year will play a huge role. Philip Rivers pulls one out. Los Angeles 28-24.
San Francisco @ Arizona (-7) (O/U 44.5) – The Cardinals played one good half a week ago, and should get a boost from playing San Fran and getting John Brown back. The Niners keep it close though. Arizona 27-23.
Oakland @ Denver (-3) (O/U 46) – Oakland was exposed last Sunday Night. Denver much of the same in Buffalo. In a bounce back week, I’m taking the team that has the best chance to copy what the opponents did a week ago. Denver 27-17.
Indianapolis @ Seattle (-13.5) (O/U 41.5) – Another week, another Luck-less offense takes the field for Indy. A win last week was good for the ego, but Jacoby Brissett will have a much tougher time against Seattle this week. Seattle 20-7.
Washington @ Kansas City (-7) (O/U 49.5) – No team has looked better than Kansas City through three weeks. While this week will be tough against the Redskins, who looked dominant on defense last week, they should make enough plays to win another. Kansas City 30-20.
